Submersible slurry pumps are used to transport abrasive slurries containing solid particles

When the submersible slurry pump encounters that the speed cannot be changed and the lift is higher than the required equipment lift, the impeller that is cut is usually used. 75% of the diameter, otherwise the function of the pump will be changed very adversely. After the impeller of the slurry pump is cut, the flow area in the pump body increases, which makes the flow rate tend to increase after the impeller is cut.

The friction loss of the disc of the impeller of the slurry pump will decrease with the reduction of the impeller diameter, so that the pump efficiency of most pumps with low specific speed is slightly improved after the impeller is cut. After cutting, the blades should be kept overlapping to a certain extent, and the degree of blade overlapping decreases with the increase of the specific speed, so that the higher the specific speed of the submersible slurry pump, the smaller the allowable amount of impeller diameter cutting. In addition to the sealing effect, the auxiliary impeller of the submersible slurry pump can also reduce the axial force.

In the mud pump, the axial force is mainly composed of the differential pressure force exerted by the liquid on the impeller and the gravity of the entire rolling part. The effect directions of these two forces are the same, and the resultant force is the sum of the two forces. become. If the submersible slurry pump is equipped with an auxiliary impeller, the liquid effect is on the auxiliary impeller, and the direction of the differential pressure force is opposite, which can offset a part of the axial force and prolong the life of the bearing.

However, the use of the auxiliary impeller sealing system also has a disadvantage, that is, a part of the energy is consumed on the auxiliary impeller of the submersible slurry pump, generally about 3%, but as long as the planning is reasonable, this part of the lost flow can be completely reduced. Slurry pump is mainly used in electric power, metallurgy, coal, building materials, chemical industry and other industries, mainly used to transport abrasive slurry containing solid particles.

For example, concentrates and tailings are processed in concentrators, ash and slag removal in power plants, coal preparation plants conveying slime and heavy medium coal preparation, and coastal river mining operations conveying slurries. The weight concentration of the slurry that it can handle is: 45% for mortar and 60% for ore slurry; it can be operated in series according to user needs.
